Christy has been working out at Kazam now for roughly 2 years. Her drive and determination doesn't let anything stand in her way. Many times, when I approach her about the workout or scaling something, she'll almost always say "no, I want to try this first, I can get it." Unless it's just not a good idea, I usually wait to step in, and sure enough, she'll try and try before she gets it or says "today's just not my day, I'll get it soon." I guess fitness just runs in the Nau DNA! Here's more about Christy...!

Where are you from?:
When was your first experience with CrossFit? What was it like? You obviously went back a second time, why?:
My first workout was 40 Burpee Box Jumps for time with a 10 minute time cap. I didn't keep count because I had no idea what I was doing. The community was what kept me coming back. Everyone was very encouraging.
What are your hobbies?:
Horseback riding, hunting, reading, and hiking with my two dogs, Maisy and Tobi.
What are one or two improvements in your life since starting CrossFit?:
I have more energy, and it's actually helped my teaching career - I do a lot of CrossFit inspired "Brain Breaks" with my 9th graders.
What have been some notable achievements at CrossFit Kazam?:
I finally, after 4 long years, mastered Double Unders and I hit a 175# Clean!
What would you tell someone thinking about starting CrossFit?:
CrossFit is for everyone! You are never too young or old or out of shape to try it. You won't regret it.
What’s your favorite and least favorite CrossFit movement?:
Favorite: Handstand Push-ups
Least Favorite: Running or Snatching
